Hey, so some of you guys might remember the old Shei from a while back- she looked like a bacon strawberry LOL. Basically I had bought the rights to make the Earth Elemental Aosaai (I would give a link as proof, but the account with the journal where I bought that has long since been deactivated, so you'll all have to take my word for it), but I never really made her a personality or put her to any use because I'm pretty sure there's practically no information readily available about Elemental Aosaai and their significance or their contributions to society or any distinguishing physical features. And I'm also not sure if "Earth" is referring to fluffy woodland creatures and pretty plants or rocks and minerals and shit. So I just never really had any plans for poor Shei. I'm still unsure posting her, the only other Elemental I've seen is Amdus and he has powers, but I'm really not sure what Shei's powers should be, yadda yadda, I'm totally lost without rules to follow LOL.

I'm also looking for design crits- please tell me what you think of her design! At first she was dull red and cream and apple-green, and the spidery little lines were green instead of red so that they represented life and plants; all things are connected, that kind of shit. But alas, she looked like bacon. So bacon-Shei was no more. These colors don't have a hint of green or brown, but I find it interesting when something with an element looks different from what you wold expect. Here, I can still relate the design's attributes back to Earth though look! The spidery red lines can represent roots, or the complex ways in which structures develop in nature, whether they be rocky outcroppings or vines. They also represent the subtle ways in which nature works- you might not notice them from a distance, but if observed closely, complex and marvelous things are revealed. Yeah. There's not much that goes in a straight line out there. And her fish scale-esque markings can be viewed as set of interconnected structures in a repeating pattern like honeycombs or petals. And that's how it goes back to Earth.

Showing that I definitely have interest in/re-staking my claim on her character is the least and probably also the most I can do, so I'd love if you took some time to read her info. ;3;

Orientation- ??? I honestly don't know what she would like PFFFT. IT'S A MYSTERY. She keeps her orientation ambiguous on purpose because she thinks it's funny to confuse people iunno.
Age- 181 years (though a lady never tells. I tried to keep her age relatively close to Amdus. 26 years is pretty short if you're already 200.)

Subspecies- Common- Take note, I didn't forget to draw any fur- she works with dirt a lot and likes to wear snug clothes, so she shaves the fur that would be on her feet, chest and shoulders. There's no genetic defect there, if she didn't shave or cut it it would grow right back. Also, if you're going to draw her, please note that her hair obeys gravity. Pretty shocking, I know. The hair on her tail is not cut off, it just flopped over to the other side like a horse's mane.

Profession- I'm gonna have to think about this one, geologist is a little too cheesy. I was also considering doctor.

Personality- Shei is just a big sweetheart. Passive and gentle, her actions and words are as delicate as the blossoms she tends (SNRGHT DID I REALLY JUST SAY THAT). She's shy and quiet, preferring to let others do their own things so that she can observe and analyze. Observing and analyzing are things that she's become especially good at in her 183 years of life, and she's mastered the arts of subtlety and stealth. Shei could be a master spy if she had the audacity to actually invade other people's privacy and steal their things, but she can't stand to hurt other people or take their stuff without asking very nicely. She gets very hurt and worked up over small problems, and is very easy to offend.

She has a natural affinity for science, which she studies with zeal. She doesn't have as much of an affinity for her love life because she's just so shy and fearful. She's afraid to have relationships with others because she's afraid of being hurt and afraid of outliving the object of her affections. She doesn't fight with anyone, over anything, and she has legendary patience. Surprisingly, though Shei tries her best not to physically hurt others, honesty is not her policy and she's a very good liar. She uses mortals (are Elementals immortal if Amdus is 200 already? I have no idea), scratch that, ungifted AoSaai (ungifted isn't even a goddamn word Jill get your shit together) to her advantage and she will lie if she feels threatened. Unexpectedly, Shei is incredibly stubborn and once her mind is set on something, there's no changing it.

History- ?????? Does she have to not know where she came from like Amdus? What's going on here? I have no idea what to do for this.

I was thinking that she would have originated on the same plane as all the other Elementals or wherever and then been plopped in France with a loving family, growing up to move to America and become a doctor. She lives with my other female AoSaai, Argosy, whose ref is coming soon. She's the Luminous I won from the icon contest last year. oco

Anyway back to Shei, I would think that she has some interaction with the other Elementals and regards them as kin, makes them cookies, forces them to look at her flowers (my god she's like a granny), stuff like that.
